Sometimes I get something so locked in my head, a vision, and like an artist with their canvas I need to get it out. I really love to spend time with couples and think it is so important to capture who they are together. The vision was to capture a couple being together in a natural, even more unposed way than what i normally do. To take them beautiful places and set up beautiful things and then just let them be together. Trying this out seemed easiest with a couple I know well, but even still we started simple and slow. We went to a few fun places and took some warm up shots.
And then we had a wardrobe change and headed to a friends land for the styled portion of our shoot. Alison bought this dress from one of our favorite bloggers and i styled around it. I had thoughts of a field and a picnic and the details just fell into place.
Because i know these two so well it made it easy to make the details just for them. They love food and books and being outdoors. It really felt like they had planned a picnic and i was just there to document it.
What an amazing Friday night.
