Little Rock Minis (arkansas family photographer)

Trying hard to stay focused this week and make it through the editing of these super fun Little Rock mini sessions. We had such a great time hanging in the woods on this Saturday morning. All these cuties made it easy for me. So thankful that I get to do this work I love.
Also spending some time getting ready for Thanksgiving with the fam. Any fun Thanksgiving plans? I always love to know what people's favorite dish is? I love dressing and REALLY love gravy.

Fayetteville Mini Sessions (arkansas family photographer)

This fall offered three opportunities for mini sessions. Mini sessions were new for me last year, but I have really loved doing them. Here is a little look at the sessions I did week before last in Fayetteville. We were lucky enough to shoot on some gorgeous private property that provided a perfect outdoorsy backdrop for some classic family photos. It was a fun day! Can't wait to soon share a little look at the sessions from Little Rock.
Would love to consider doing spring mini sessions in the coming year. Thoughts?

Happy 1st Birthday Henry!

This little sweetie is Henry. I was fortunate enough to help celebrate his first birthday last weekend. The  party was a precious celebration of this little man and those who love him.

I first met Henry's parents almost three years ago as they planned their wedding. It too was a lovely celebration with dear people. What a treat to photograph them again and their little one.
Many thanks for including me in this special day!

I photographed this adorable couple a little over a year ago at almost 8 months pregnant and so it was such a treat to work with them again and meet their little man. This kiddo is overflowing with personality and I just loved my time with him!

It was a celebration of his first birthday and even though I let some of them fly away (oops) I loved these balloons. No matter what you say, balloons are ALWAYS fun. They make me smile.

AR to CA (arkansas family photographer)

This sweet family is very special to me. The matriarch of the family was my 7th grade geography teacher, through high school I became close friends with the oldest daughter and was always crazy about her two younger sisters. All three sisters were a part of my wedding, a million years ago, and their father dancing at my wedding is one of my all time favorite memories. I have photographed a wedding and growing babies over the years and have loved watching this family grow and change. As I know all too well, the growing of a family sometimes comes with growing pains. We grow and change and chase dreams. Today a piece of this family leaves for California, following a dream. I know it will be hard for this close family, but they are being sent with much love and many prayers.
happy travels and dream on Harrison family!

Chinos in Switzerland

Two weeks ago we returned home from a three week adventure with the Chino family. While their faces were certainly my favorite thing to see we also enjoyed the views as we traveled around Europe. I got to combine my love for both and grab a few pictures before we said our tearful goodbyes.
I have millions of photos to share from our trip, but since I know I'm not the only one who misses these faces I thought I would start my Europe sharing with these.
Cole celebrated his 17th birthday while we were in Switzerland. He is a man. I was struck by the ways he seemed so much older. He still holds pieces of the little boy I fell in love with as Peter and I began dating 16 years ago, but has also grown into a leader, a hard worker and pretty amazing quesadilla maker.
Ben is a TEENAGER! 13. He has grown what feels like an inch for every month they have been gone.  As always he has a smile that is contagious and a spirit to match. I love the way Ben approaches life with complete abandon, he is all in and up for adventure.
Simon turned 8 just before we got to Scotland. I remember the day he was born like it was yesterday and in these 8 years we have made many memories with Simon and our boys. They picked up playing and fell into conversation as if they were together yesterday. The sound of Simon's voice is so missed in our home. He is loving.
My girl MP is a week away from her 15th birthday. I heart her. Mary Polly seems so grown. She is bright and quick and makes me laugh. It was such a treat to hear about her life in Scotland, see her excelling in school and watch the part she plays among her brothers.

I miss and love each of these people with my whole heart, but was so glad to see them happy and experience a little piece of this amazing journey they are on.
