SO excited to share these new Christmas card options for 2012. I am still offering my cards from 2011 and 2010, but have these fun new designs as well. These templates are for 5x7 flat or folded cards (a 4x6 flat card can be made and mailed as a postcard with $0.28 postage). The colors and text on these cards are customizable and can be matched to your photos. Another great option is to do one side of the card as a full photo and pick one of these templates for the other side of the card.

in-laws in boots (arkansas couples photographer)
When we signed up for the AR women blogger's conference and were offered the amazing boots from Country Outfitter I was crazy jealous that Alison would be getting a second pair of boots, she had already received a pair at Bean to Blog. I asked her what she would pick? Instead of shopping for herself she had her eye on a pair for her dad's birthday. Since we often do gifts together it was a great deal for me and my part was going to be a great boot shoot with my in-laws, really more of a gift for us.
We had one afternoon to take photos between us all going separate ways, but it started pouring rain about 20 minutes before we were set to shoot. At the last minute we decided to just go for it anyway and hope for the best, and I am so glad we did. The results were some great color and even a little fun with umbrellas and puddles.
If you are reading this post and wishing you could get your hands on a pair of these cutie boots you are in luck! Check out my boot giveaway sponsored by Country Outfitter.

This week as I link up with Lindsey from the Pleated Poppy for What I Wore Wednesday I am highlighting what I wore this week with my Country Outfitter boots! I am so excited about my boot giveaway and wanted to focus on the ways I wear my boots. The weather has just turned cold here and is a perfect time to have boots you love. I worked my boots with a skinny jean (dressier), with a dress and tights (my favorite way to wear a boot) and with a casual top and boot cut jean. Any way you work them boots are the perfect fall and winter shoe and I can't wait to keep working mine in to my everyday looks.

it's a boot giveaway y'all!!!
Once upon a time I was a girl going to a blogging conference in Arkansas with no boots in my bag.
Then there was a party and a room where the walls were all lined with boots just especially for all the bloggers. There was a pair with my name on it, and even though we had all picked these boots out off of the Country Outfitter website, we still squealed like we had never seen them before.
What happened is hard to explain. It's much more fun to see.
From the moment we slipped on our Country Outfitter boots we were all giddy.
These boots have been known to cause spontaneous laughter...
They might make you do a happy dance or kick up your heels...
Or even this...
Later there was even a surprise engagement and while it wasn't because of the boots, they couldn't have hurt...
Now I get to give a pair of boots (a $150 gift card to Country Outfitter!) to one of you!!!
This is so exciting that it is making me do that happy dance all over again!
So go....NOW!

fall (central arkansas family photographer)
I love fall.
The leaves turning and the fireplaces crackling. The cool mornings and fall clothes. I love the newness of a changing season.
Actually I really love summer too. And winter and spring. I guess what I love is how when the seasons change we have to say goodbye to the good parts of the season past and greet the good parts of the season to come. In the autumn, the season change is so vivid as the signs of spring and summer are literally falling away.
Somehow as I looked through these photos, I thought about fall and how much I love it. I was reminded that the changing of seasons are like the changes in our lives.
I photographed this young couple a few years ago before they had children. It was so fun to catch up with them again and see them as parents to a new baby. A beautiful new season.
And I know that just as fall is passing before my eyes, this season for this family will come and go more quickly than they can imagine.
It is a precious time and I am so thankful that I got to be a part of watching this season change in their lives.
